Start by wetting the rim of your glass with a lime wedge or a little water. Then, dip the rim into a plate of BBQ dry rub, making sure the glass is evenly coated.
1 tbsp BBQ Dry Rub
Place a few large ice cubes in the glass. Large cubes are ideal because they melt more slowly, preventing your drink from getting watered down too quickly.
Pour in the bourbon and tomato juice, then add 1 tablespoon of BBQ dry rub. If you like a little heat, add a few dashes of Tabasco sauce. Stir everything well until the BBQ rub is fully incorporated and the drink is nice and chilled.
2 oz Maple Whiskey or Bourbon, 4 oz Tomato Juice , 2-3 dashes Tabasco sauce, 1 tbsp BBQ Dry Rub
Garnish with bacon strips, celery stalks, and pickled vegetables (think spicy green beans, olives, or okra).
